Modern and innovative RFID systems make it possible to track the flow of goods inside and outside the warehouse. Localization systems using RFID work over long ranges and, unlike barcode scanners, do not require optical contact between sender and receiver. The RFID transponder can be integrated directly into the product in the form of a chip, for example, and is thus protected against external damage. RFID labels, on the other hand, are much more flexible and can also be retrofitted to the article or packaging.
