S&K Solutions' new logistics centre goes into operation

After an intensive six-month planning and relocation phase, we have successfully launched our new logistics centre in the ‘Am Mollnhof’ industrial park in Passau. The old warehouse on Regensburger Straße, which had been used for processing orders and packaging customer and gift cards for over ten years, was no longer able to meet the increased demands.

We expect a significant increase in efficiency in the new S&K logistics centre. Thanks to the professional support of a logistics consultancy, an optimised floor plan could be realised under the direction of Boris Kulinna (Operations Director). The doubling of pallet spaces and shelving creates more storage capacity and enables better organisation of walkways and driveways. The work areas for packaging and fulfilment have also been functionally integrated into the warehouse through special enclosures and now have more light and space.

By increasing the storage area by 50%, S&K Solutions is focusing on further growth and on serving customer requests faster and more efficiently. In addition, a strong emphasis was placed on sustainability: energy improvements at the new location help to reduce CO2 consumption in the logistics centre and reduce the company's ecological footprint.
